January 10, a no spend day for me

It was almost a no-spend day today, but dh needed gas...again. Even at 18 mpg, a tank only lasts him 4 days :( But he has a job. He was out of work for 14 months two years ago now. I would much rather have him spending the gas and bringing in a nice paycheck.

After staff meeting today the boss took us all to lunch. I got the fajita plate because one, I love fajitas and two, I knew there would be enough left over to take home for dinner! It was sort of embarrassing when they brought the food. I had 3 plates. A plate with 4 tortillas, a plate with a skillet full of chicken, red/green peppers and onions, and a plate loaded with cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. I made and ate one fajita, the rest went into a take home box. I brought it home and weighed it, wow...almost 2 lbs of food!! That will feed us for tonight..yay, free dinner!

I deposited the insurance refund today. Hoped the reimbursement check might be in my work mailbox. Apparently the administrator is dragging his feet in paying it since it is such a large amount. Maybe tomorrow...

Dh had lunch out on the company today too. two free lunches, free dinner, two free coffees. Not a bad day!
